Boost Your Performance in Work Meetings with AI-Powered Teleprompter that Suggests Smart Things to Say - Created by Two Coders
Two software developers have shared a demo of their latest project called Tele-Prompt. This AI-bot listens in on work meetings and generates interesting quotes that could be interjected into the conversation. Tele-Prompt uses a language processing model known as GPT-3 that draws quotes from Kaggle's database to suggest charismatic comments.
Daniel Gross, an entrepreneur and investor who led AI and search projects at Apple for four years, and Nat Friedman, the former CEO of GitHub, built Tele-Prompt. The bot generates quotes that emulate the advice that sales leaders could provide to their staff.
The bot has even generated slogans meant to inspire like "Freedom is a daring liberation" and "Freedom is a state of mind." While the bot is not available in a consumer app, its code is publicly available on GitHub, inspiring spinoff versions from other AI enthusiasts.
Tele-Prompt comes as conversational AI chat bots such as ChatGPT rise in popularity, prompting curious users to experiment with its capabilities and sparking debates over whether it or a similar tool will one day replace traditional search engines. The company behind ChatGPT, OpenAI, announced the AI had attracted 1 million users five days after its launch.
For instance, coder Georgi Gerganov tweeted a demo showing that he had revamped the Tele-Prompt to run on an iPhone.
The availability of Tele-Prompt's code on GitHub and the spinoff versions inspired by it highlight the potential for AI in the workplace. The project also provides an example of how AI can be utilized in meetings to provide smart quotes that can enhance discussions.
